Scope

What does the X Ads integration usually cover?

  • An approved MMP must be configured to bid in app installs campaigns
  • All approved MMPs support mobile app conversion tracking and SKAdNetwork
  • Conversion tracking only available through listed partners; no direct Ads API integration

From X Business: mobile app measurement and attribution, checked 2 Nov 2026.

Setup

Is X Ads a self-attributing network?

Yes. X Ads is treated as a self-attributing network in the MMP docs we read: the MMP sends it install and event data and X Ads replies with the installs it claims, instead of clicks running through the MMP's tracking link.

What to check before you launch

  • The MMP is one of X's approved partners, as X has no direct Ads API route for app conversions
  • Which events are shared back to X for bidding
  • Whether the MMP runs X as a self-attributing network
  • Cost data import
FAQ

Questions

Which MMPs integrate with X Ads?

Adjust, Airbridge, AppsFlyer, Branch, Kochava, Singular and Tenjin list X Ads in their own docs. Each row links to the MMP's own page, checked 2 Nov 2026.

Can I track X app campaigns without an approved MMP?

X's help says app conversion tracking is only available through its listed partners and that an approved MMP must be configured to bid in app installs campaigns.

What is an MMP ad network integration?

It is the documented connection between a mobile measurement partner and an ad network: tracking links or API access for attribution, postbacks that send installs and events back to the network, and often cost data. Without it, the network cannot optimise on your in-app events and the MMP cannot credit the network.

What does Not listed mean on this site?

It means we could not find the network in the MMP's public partner directory or help docs when we checked. It does not mean the MMP cannot work with that network: many MMPs add partners on request, so ask the vendor in writing.

What is a self-attributing network?

A self-attributing network (SAN) such as Meta, Google Ads, TikTok or Apple Ads does not use the MMP's click tracking links. The MMP sends it install and event data, and the network replies with whether it claims the install.

What is a postback?

A postback is a server-to-server message from the MMP to the ad network saying an install or in-app event happened and which click or campaign it belongs to. Networks use postbacks to report results and to optimise bidding.
