Route

What is the Meta Ads MMP integration?

A Meta Ads MMP integration is the connection that lets a mobile measurement partner ask Meta which installs and events its ads drove, and send in-app events back so Meta can optimise delivery.

Scope

What does the Meta Ads integration usually cover?

  • Certified MMPs track app events and user behaviour from Meta ads
  • Helps compare channel effectiveness and prevent fake installs or fraudulent traffic
  • MMP results may differ slightly from Ads Manager reporting
  • App events can be connected to Meta via an MMP or CDP SDK partner integration

From Meta Business Help: measure the results of your app ads, checked 2 Nov 2026.

Setup

Is Meta Ads a self-attributing network?

Yes. Meta Ads is treated as a self-attributing network in the MMP docs we read: the MMP sends it install and event data and Meta Ads replies with the installs it claims, instead of clicks running through the MMP's tracking link.

What to check before you launch

  • Whether the MMP is set up for Advanced Mobile Measurement (user-level data) or aggregated data only
  • Which in-app events are shared back to Meta for optimisation
  • How the MMP handles iOS: SKAN or AdAttributionKit postbacks and Aggregated Event Measurement
  • Whether Meta cost data is pulled in automatically

If the numbers do not line up after launch, the Meta vs MMP mismatch troubleshooter walks through the usual causes.

FAQ

Questions

Which MMPs integrate with Meta Ads?

Adjust, Airbridge, AppsFlyer, Branch, Kochava, Linkrunner, Singular and Tenjin list Meta Ads in their own docs; AppMetrica list it for part of the job only. Each row links to the MMP's own page, checked 2 Nov 2026.

Why do Meta Ads Manager and my MMP show different install counts?

Meta credits installs inside its own attribution windows, including some views, while the MMP de-duplicates across every network and usually counts the first app open. Meta's own help says MMP results may differ slightly from Ads Manager, so compare trends rather than single days.

What is an MMP ad network integration?

It is the documented connection between a mobile measurement partner and an ad network: tracking links or API access for attribution, postbacks that send installs and events back to the network, and often cost data. Without it, the network cannot optimise on your in-app events and the MMP cannot credit the network.

What does Not listed mean on this site?

It means we could not find the network in the MMP's public partner directory or help docs when we checked. It does not mean the MMP cannot work with that network: many MMPs add partners on request, so ask the vendor in writing.

What is a self-attributing network?

A self-attributing network (SAN) such as Meta, Google Ads, TikTok or Apple Ads does not use the MMP's click tracking links. The MMP sends it install and event data, and the network replies with whether it claims the install.

What is a postback?

A postback is a server-to-server message from the MMP to the ad network saying an install or in-app event happened and which click or campaign it belongs to. Networks use postbacks to report results and to optimise bidding.
